Closed Loop cards are proprietary to Client requirements and generally are processed in a "Closed" host to host environment. These type programs use cards that are typically not bank issued, and not configured to run on national card networks. These Client driven proprietary environments can grow via affiliations to become Networks. Closed Loop systems can Process cards that are used for:

- Configurable Reward and Loyalty components for usage, miles, dollars, etc
- Redeemable for goods and services
- Prepaid sales
